BackupBuddy

BackupBuddy allows you to backup your entire WordPress site including the widgets, themes and plugins. If you have a compatible web host company, you can even backup your site to a remote server like Amazon S3 or Rackspace Cloud.  Backups can even be scheduled so you don’t even have to think about doing it.

There two components of your WordPress website or blog that require backing up:

1.) The site files — primarily images, and
2.) The database which contains all of the text content on your website.

  • You can preview your book on a NOOKTM emulator before submitting them.
  • Royalties are 65% of list price between $2.99 and $9.99.
• Smashwords- Online service to publish, promote, distribute and sell a multi-format ebook.  This creates muti-formats making your book available for wider consumption on any e-reading device, including  Amazon, Apple,  Barnes & Noble and others.  Acceptance to the premium catalog distributes your book to Barnes & Noble and Apple.
  • Creates an Amazon file format, but does not distribute your book to Amazon.
  • Converts a Microsoft Word version of your book. (must be less than 5 mb).
  • Royalties are 60% of list price.

Kindle Direct Publishing (KDP) has two royalty options, 35% or 70%.  To get the 70% royalty, your book list price must be at least $2.99 and no more than $9.99.  Anything below or above that price range will automatically select the 35% option for you.

Getting Paid

The quickest way to get paid your KDP royalties is by electronic funds transfer (EFT) to your US bank account.  If you prefer a slower method, a mailed check is also available.

Payments are made about sixty days after the end of the month the sales occurred and when your balance is at least $10.  For check payments the balance has to be at least $100.  So for example, May sales would be paid around the end of July, June sales would be paid around the end of August and so on.
